Epic Universe Vacation Planning
Universal’s newest park is amazing — and confusing. Tickets work differently. Lines get long. We build your family a plan that actually works.
Why Epic Universe Trips Go Wrong
Epic Universe opened in 2025, and the rules are still new to everyone. Families show up with the wrong tickets. They find out their annual pass doesn’t get them in. They stand in a two-hour line for Mario Kart because nobody told them to go left at the gate. A little planning fixes all of it.
The Five Lands (and What Your Kids Can Do)
- Celestial Park — the big garden hub with Stardust Racers (a huge dual coaster for older kids) and the Constellation Carousel that everyone can ride.
- Super Nintendo World — Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, Yoshi’s Adventure, and Donkey Kong Mine-Cart Madness. The land little kids don’t want to leave.
- The Wizarding World: Ministry of Magic — Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, plus the Le Cirque Arcanus show. Wands work here too.
- Isle of Berk — How to Train Your Dragon land. Hiccup’s Wing Gliders is a great first coaster, Dragon Racer’s Rally is for the brave, and The Untrainable Dragon show is a must-see.
- Dark Universe — monsters territory. Monsters Unchained and Curse of the Werewolf are intense — best for bigger kids and teens.
The Ticket Rules Nobody Explains
- One-day Epic Universe tickets change price by date — roughly $139 to $199 for adults.
- Multi-day Universal tickets now include Epic Universe — but which days and how many depends on the ticket type. This is where families overpay.
- As of 2026, Universal annual passes do not include Epic Universe. Passholders still need an Epic ticket.
- Express Pass at Epic is single-use only and sold by demand — usually $200 to $330 per person. Sometimes it’s worth it. Sometimes your touring plan does the same job free. We run that math for you.
- No hotel includes free Express Pass for Epic Universe — even the ones that include it for the other Universal parks. Don’t book a pricey hotel expecting that perk.
Where to Stay
Helios Grand sits attached to the park with its own entrance — amazing, and priced like it. Stella Nova and Terra Luna are right across the street and much friendlier on the budget. Universal hotel guests get early park entry, which matters more at Epic than almost anywhere. We’ll tell you which one actually fits your family and your budget — including when the cheaper hotel plus a better plan beats the expensive one.
What We Handle for You
- The right ticket, first try — matched to your days, your parks, and whether you’re mixing in Disney.
- A one-day plan that works — which land first, when to ride the big stuff, where the quiet bathrooms are.
- Hotel strategy — early entry, walk vs. shuttle, and honest advice on when Helios Grand is worth it.
- Height and thrill checks — we flag what each of your kids can ride before you go.
- Watching your trip — prices, hours, and rules at Epic still change. When they do, we already know.
What It Costs
Nothing extra. Book your Universal trip through us and the planning is free to you — the hotels and parks pay us, not you. You pay the same price as booking it yourself, but with a real plan and a real person on your side.
Quick Answers
Can Epic Universe be done in one day?
Yes — with early entry, a smart land order, and realistic expectations. Without a plan, families usually miss one or two lands. We build the order for you.
Does Epic Universe have Express Pass?
Yes, but it is single-use (one skip per ride), sold by date, and usually $200 to $330 per person. No hotel includes it free for Epic Universe. Whether it is worth it depends on your dates — we will tell you straight.
Do Universal annual passes include Epic Universe?
As of 2026, no. Annual passholders still need a separate Epic Universe ticket.
When did Epic Universe open?
Epic Universe opened in May 2025. It is Universal Orlando's third and newest theme park.

What hotels are at Epic Universe?
Helios Grand is attached to the park with its own entrance. Stella Nova and Terra Luna sit right across the street and cost much less. All Universal hotel guests get early park entry, which matters a lot at Epic.

What time does Epic Universe open and close?
Hours change by season — usually about 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Hotel guests get in early. We check the calendar for your exact dates and build your morning plan around it.
